18+ content
NodeWorld hides 18+ content by default: servers, worlds, instances and avatars marked 18+ do not show, and 18+ places do not let you in. To see them, switch on 18+ content once, in the game or on the website.
Show 18+ content
- On the website, open Settings.
- In Privacy, switch on Show 18+ content.
- The first time, Your date of birth asks for it. Enter it and choose Confirm.
18+ content is shown. appears. Your date of birth is asked only once and only you can see it: Settings > Account shows it, and it can't be changed afterwards.
Switch Show 18+ content off to hide 18+ content again. Switching it back on does not ask for your date again.
In the game
- Open Settings > Privacy and switch on Show 18+ content.
- The first time, Your date of birth asks for it: type the Day, choose the Month, type the Year, then choose Confirm.
The same rules apply as on the website, and Settings > Account shows Date of birth once you declared it. When you switch 18+ content on or off, the avatars around you change at once.
Your age
- You must be at least 13 years old to use NodeWorld. A date of birth under 13 is refused: You must be at least 13 years old to use NodeWorld.
- From 13 to 17, the date is kept and Show 18+ content stays off: 18+ content is for adults only.
- Until you declare your date of birth, NodeWorld does not count you as an adult: 18+ places refuse you at the door (see Refused at the door).
18+ on the website
Once 18+ content is shown:
- Explore mixes 18+ servers with the others, marked 18+. The filter next to the search shows them all (With 18+), only them (18+ only) or none (Without 18+).
- On a world's page, New instance lets you switch on 18+ instance (see Start a new instance).
18+ in the game
Once 18+ content is shown:
- Explore mixes 18+ servers with the others, marked 18+. The filter next to the regions shows them all (With 18+), only them (18+ only) or none (Without 18+).
- A server's page marks its 18+ worlds and instances 18+.
- New instance has 18+ instance: only adults who show 18+ content can find it and join. It is for Join: Drop portal is not available with it, a portal's instance starts when someone first goes through it.
- On the World page, the owner of your instance can switch 18+ instance on or off in the
...button. - On Avatars, the
...button of one of your avatars has Mark 18+ and Remove the 18+ mark.
Your 18+ avatars
On the website, in the menu of one of your avatars (the three dots), Mark 18+ marks it and Remove the 18+ mark takes the mark off. Players who do not show 18+ content see the default avatar in its place. Marked 18+ by NodeWorld means the NodeWorld team marked it: you cannot take that mark off.
