Discord account
You sign in to NodeWorld with your email and password, or with Continue with Discord. If you created your account with your email, link your Discord account to it: Continue with Discord then opens this same account.
Link your Discord account
- On the website, open Settings.
- In Discord, choose Link.
- Discord asks you to authorize NodeWorld: choose Authorize.
- You come back to Settings: Discord account linked. shows, and Discord shows your Discord username.
From then on, Continue with Discord signs you in to this account. Your email and password still work.
Finish on Discord within 10 minutes, in the browser where you chose Link. Otherwise the website says This request expired or was opened in another browser. Try again.: choose Link again.
When linking is refused
- This Discord account already has its own NodeWorld account, created by signing in with Discord. You used Continue with Discord before linking, and that created a separate NodeWorld account. Nothing is deleted: that account keeps signing in with Discord. To link this Discord account here instead, ask on the NodeWorld Discord.
- This Discord account is already linked to another NodeWorld account. Sign in to that account and unlink it first.
- Another Discord account is already linked to your account. Unlink it first. One Discord account per NodeWorld account: unlink the current one, then link the other.
- Linking cancelled on Discord. You chose Cancel on Discord. Nothing changed.
Unlink your Discord account
In Settings > Discord, choose Unlink. Continue with Discord no longer opens this account: sign in with your email and password. If you choose Continue with Discord afterwards, it creates a new NodeWorld account.
Account created with Discord
If you created your account with Continue with Discord, Settings > Discord says Account created with Discord: you already sign in with Discord, there is nothing to link.
