Sound volumes

NodeWorld splits its sound in three volumes. Set them with the Sound button of the menu's bottom bar, or in Settings > Sound: both show the same sliders. They are kept on your device.

SliderWhat it coversAt first
WorldEverything the world plays: its sounds and music, its videos (televisions such as ProTV), and the avatars' sounds.100%
VoicesThe other players' voices.80%
MenuThe sounds of the menu, and the camera's shutter and timer heard by the players around it.70%

Lowering World to 0% silences the world and its videos while you still hear the players and the menu.

To hear one player louder or quieter, or not at all, open their card (their row on the World page, or their nametag): Mute and Volume are for you only, on top of Voices.

The menu plays short, soft sounds: opening and closing the menu, a click and a light tick under the ray, a notification, a private message, an invite or an invite request, the microphone going off or on, a respawn. The camera's shutter and timer are heard by the players near it, at their own Menu volume.

Do not disturb silences the notification, message and invite sounds.
